AFTER SCHOOL

ART CLASS

In this fun and unexpected art class you will bring to life a textural and touch friendly 3-D ‘painting’! Without using ‘paint’ as we know it. This is an environment friendly art making process. Let your artist self shine.

Dates: Thursday 8 May - 5 June 2025 Time: 4pm - 5pm Age: 8 to 12 years old

Location: Brightwater Hall

Cost: $95 (includes all course materials).

Surprise yourself with this fun class that has you painting without ‘paint’. Create mini artworks that can be hung on a wall, worn as ‘shaggy fashion’ or used as a rug.

Various materials (upcycled / recycled and new) will be used to create using the hook and loop technique.

For example: shredded damaged garments, leather swatches (upholstery), wool, string, shoe laces, ribbon, shredded tyre inner tubing and soft plastics, etc.... the list goes on. Environmentally friendly art making at it’s best!

Classes will use brain storming to encourage original and individual creations. Starting with sketching and focusing on composition, perspective and colour we will use water coloured art pencils to establish initial ideas. These will evolve into the final work.

This fun technique will develop creativity and artistic skills.

NOTE: Please wear closed in shoes..
