Larisse Hall Award Winning Light Artist and Art Classes New Zealand

LIABILITY WAIVER

By enrolling in and attending classes/workshops facilitated by Larisse Hall, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

Neither Larisse Hall (tutor/facilitator) nor the venue provider (NMIT or Le Cren Room) will be liable for any injury, impairment, or damage sustained by you during the class.

You accept full responsibility for any damage caused by you to equipment, tools, materials, or personal property belonging to others, including fellow participants, the tutor, or the venue.

A NO ALCOHOL and NO DRUGS policy applies for the duration of all classes and workshops.

(Exception - Art, Cocktails & Mocktails Class where a glass may be had while creating an artwork under supervision)

You will follow all safety instructions, emergency protocols, and general guidelines provided.

It is your responsibility to arrange personal insurance to cover any personal belongings, medical needs, or liability risks during your participation.

If you damage or injure any person, equipment, or property, you will be fully responsible for the cost of repair, replacement, or compensation.

All students are expected to conduct themselves in a safe and respectful manner at all times.

PHOTO PERMISSION

Please indicate if you do not give permission for photos and videos of you to be taken and used for promotional purposes (eg. advertising future workshops run by Larisse Hall).

TERMS & POLICIES

BOOKINGS & PAYMENT

Full upfront payment is required to confirm your booking.

  • Payment options include bank transfer, cash, or secure online card payment.

  • Your place is not secured until full payment has been received.

  • All prices are GST inclusive.

  • CANCELLATION POLICY

    Cancellation by Larisse Hall

    • If a class or workshop is cancelled by Larisse, you will be notified at least 2 days prior and offered a full refund or the option to transfer to an alternative date. Refunds will be processed within 10 days.

    Cancellation by Participant

    • Cancellations made within 7 days of the course start date are non-refundable.

    • Cancellations made 7-14 days prior will receive a 50% refund.

    • Cancellations made more than 14 days prior will be refunded in full, minus a $30 admin fee.

    • If you start a course and decide not to continue, no refund will be given.

    • Missed individual classes cannot be rescheduled or credited.

    • Course / Class transfers are subject to availability

  • NON-ATTENDANCE

    • If you miss a class due to illness or personal reasons, no refunds or class credits will be given.

    • Classes missed cannot be made up through additional tuition or class transfers.

  • LOCKDOWN OR EMERGENCY CLOSURES

    • In the event of a government-mandated lockdown or emergency requiring class closure, classes will shift to live online delivery via Zoom, at the scheduled class times.

    • Standard cancellation and refund policies will still apply.

  • PUBLIC HOLIDAYS

    • Classes will not be held on public holidays, and courses will be extended to ensure you receive the advertised number of sessions.

  • CLASS POSTPONEMENT

  • In the case of unforeseen circumstances (e.g., tutor illness), we will do our best to find a substitute tutor or reschedule the class.

  • You will be notified as soon as possible.

  • HEALTH & SAFETY

  • All students must adhere to health and safety rules, including:

    • Wear closed-toe shoes.

    • Tie back long hair.

    • Use equipment only as instructed.

    • Follow all health and safety briefings.

  • STUDENT CONDUCT

  • All participants are expected to behave respectfully and professionally. This includes:

    • Treating classmates, tutors, staff, and property with respect.

    • Following all tutor instructions.

    • Avoiding disruptive, confrontational, or harassing behaviour.

    • Refraining from the use of illegal substances or excessive alcohol consumption.

    • No unauthorised photography of life models.

    • No accessing inappropriate content on shared facility devices.

  • Breaches of conduct may result in removal from the course, without refund.

  • STORAGE

  • While care will be taken, Larisse Hall is not responsible for loss or damage to stored work. (Overnight between ongoing day workshops)
