Works On Paper

Larisse’s works on paper are dynamic explorations—part working sketches, part paintings. These pieces serve as pure creative escapes, allowing her the freedom to experiment with ideas without the stretching of a canvas.

Each piece begins with a printed scan of her sculptural forms, creating a striking 2D interpretation of her 3D work. She then builds upon this foundation, layering oil glazes to bring depth and vibrancy to the composition.

She works on archival, 100% cotton fibre paper, known for its durability and rich texture:

  • 305gsm thickness (19 mil)

  • Acid, lignin, and chlorine-free (pH buffered)

  • Smooth matte finish

Some of these experimental works evolve into complete, stand alone artworks, while others inform larger bodies of work. Alternatively, Larisse may choose primed and prepped canvas as her base for these sketches, further expanding her creative process.
