Workshop
In this fun, one day edible art workshop you will use composition, negative space and food as colour, to create edible ‘paintings’! Yum!
Date: Wednesday 2 July 2025 Time: 9.00am - 3.00pm Age: 8 to 12 years old
Location: Brightwater Hall
Cost: $110 (includes all ingredients and course materials).
In this fun 1-day art class you will create edible artworks!
You will learn how to use composition, negative space and food as colour to create ‘edible paintings’.
To start, you will sketch and plan your edible artwork on paper, in 2-Dimensional form. Then beautifully you will bring it to life in 3-Dimensional reality!
Using natural edible ingredients for baking, students will focus on colour mixing ideas and composition, while learning about form, perspective and 3D effects. Consideration required for ingredients, placement, taste and colour of each to achieve the desired end results.
The 'edible art' will be created using various art techniques to be effective aesthetically while also edible!
Extending and developing budding artists
NOTE: Lunch will be created and eaten in class. Afternoon tea will be created to share with those at home when class finishes.
